Saso Online HSPT® Weekend Review

for 8th grade students

2024 Schedule

Choose One Session:

The Weekend Review class and materials are the same for both sessions.

Bundle with any HSPT prep course and get 50% off the Weekend Review!

The Online HSPT® Weekend Review is a two-day course that covers all five sections of the HSPT®: Verbal, Quantitative, Reading, Math and Language.

This class is intended to be a “review” and is recommended for students who have previously taken a class with us or who have done some HSPT® preparation on their own.

The Weekend Review provides all-new material (including a full-length practice test) and thus adds to and reinforces what has been learned in our full-length HSPT® prep class.

Asian Student

Day 1: Saturday
9:00 am – 12:45 pm (Pacific Time)

We work through each of the five subtests of the HSPT and give strategies and tips for problem solving. We identify the various problem types unique to each subtest and demonstrate how to solve each type. We then pace students through practice worksheets with problems like those found on the HSPT®. At the end of class, we point out worksheets in the binder that students should study to prepare for the practice test on Day 2.

Day 2: Sunday
9:00 am – 12:45 pm (Pacific Time)

Students take a full-length model HSPT practice test. We pace students through each subtest just like the actual exam, including breaks. We correct each subtest during the class, and at the completion of the class, we explain to students how their scores would translate to approximate percentile scores on the HSPT®.

More details about the Online HSPT® Weekend Review:

  • Workbook: Before class begins, we mail you the workbook that your child will use during the class.

  • Webinar: We use the Zoom “webinar” platform to conduct our live online lessons. Students are view-only attendees during the class, but they can use the Q&A chat function to ask questions which we answer live on the broadcast.

  • Class Replays: Both the Saturday and Sunday sessions will be recorded and made available for students to re-watch later.

Wondering if the Weekend Review would be a good fit?

Have your child take our HSPT® Diagnostic Assessment.

Rave Reviews from Our Students

I loved everything about this class, mostly the experience and how well the time is managed. Not a minute is wasted in the 3 hours and 45 minutes, yet it feels so short with your excellent teaching!
—April

What I like best about the Weekend Review class is that I was able to get better scores from the first time I took this class in the summer.
