How to Prepare for the HSPT®

The first step in preparing for the HSPT is to see if you need to prepare at all! By taking an HSPT practice test, you will see how well you do, and what areas you need to work in.

Tips For HSPT® Test Day

Get a good night’s sleep. Don’t cram the night before! Eat a good breakfast so you have energy and don’t get hungry during the test. Bring two pencils with you to the test. If you would like to have water and a snack for the break, you can bring that with you as well.

Writing a Catholic High School Application Essay

A high school application essay is a personal essay. Essentially you’re introducing yourself. No matter the question or prompt, one way or another every question comes down to this: tell us who you are and what’s important to you.

What is Tested on the HSPT®

The HSPT®, or High School Placement Test®, is a 298-question, multiple-choice exam consisting of 5 separate subtests: Verbal, Quantitative, Reading, Math, and Langauge.
